The Provincial Association of Credit is registered as a personal information agent with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (#0779-000-0060).
The Provincial Association of Credit has specialized in the preparation of up-to-date credit reports for over 50 years, at both commercial and consumer levels. As such, we are committed to protecting all information we collect, use, disclose and otherwise store in accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector and the Act to modernize legislative provisions respecting the protection of personal information, also known as Bill 25.
Our team comprises highly experienced investigators with over 25 years' experience in the collection and verification of credit information.
Our confidentiality policy applies to personal data in accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.
Please note that the gathered information is not compiled into a database that can be passed on to a third party without the consent of the individuals concerned.
What personal data is collected?
The Provincial Association of Credit collects, with consent (or to the extent permitted by law), the following categories of personal data:
- Name and contact details (address, date of birth).
- Information from public records
- Directly on the form completed by the person concerned by the credit inquiry.
Security of personal information
Whenever we collect personal information, we ensure that it remains secure while on our systems. We strive to establish policies and procedures to ensure the safe management of information and to protect data from unauthorized access, as follows:

As stipulated in the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, consumers have the right to consult and have rectified, if necessary, the information contained in their credit file held by our firm, free of charge, by submitting a written request to this effect to our Personal Data Protection Officer.
